Tropical Trips Without a Passport

No passport? No problem!  Great tropical vacations are abundant in the United States, and none of them require a passport.  Hawaii and the Florida Keys are both islands that offer outstanding tropical weather and world class beaches and neither require passports since they are part of the United States. The U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico are both U.S. commonwealths. While they are not states, they are a still a part of the  U.S. and citizens do not need passports to visit by land or by sea.

  1. U.S. Virgin Islands

    • The U.S. Virgin Islands of St. John, St. Thomas and St. Croix are located in the Caribbean, a few hours south of Florida and do not require a passport for U.S. citizens to enter the country. Each island has accommodations that range from inexpensive motels to luxury resorts. English is spoken on all three islands and your currency is usable without having to convert it Every island is situated on amazing white sand beaches with the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. The weather is tropical year round.

     Hawaiian Islands

    • The Hawaiian Islands offer a tropical vacation destination most people dream of visiting. The travel time to Hawaii is just five hours from most of the US west coast.  Several islands, including Oahu, Kauai, and Maui feature the vacation amenities Hawaii is famous for:  world class beaches, tropical warm weather, volcanoes, culture and history, and luxury resorts. Each island in Hawaii offers something different for visitors

    Florida Keys

    • The Florida Keys is a grouping of islands at the very southern tip of Florida. Key West is the southernmost point in the United States and is only a three-hour drive from Miami. Activities here  include swimming, snorkeling, boating and  fishing. World famous Duval Street offers exciting nightlife with a wide variety of bars, restaurants, dancing, entertainment and shopping. Luxury resorts, bed and breakfasts and oceanfront rental homes are on many islands of the Keys.

    Puerto Rico

    • Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory just a few hours from of Florida by plane. Your U.S currency  is accepted everywhere and a passport is not required. Luxury resorts , bed and breakfasts and economy hotels are located throughout Puerto Rico, making it a place any budget can enjoy. Luxurious spas, bars, restaurants and  ocean views are included in your Puerto Rican getaway, and with tropical weather the hardest  decision you'll make on your vacation is which SPF you should wear for the day
